Effective date: October 27, 2026 · Version: 2026-10-27
Access and payment are separate: Eligible new customers can use the 14-day, no-card trial when it is offered at signup. Authorized invitations and promotional codes may provide other disclosed no-charge access. Paid subscriptions are available only when enabled in checkout. Creating an account, accepting legal terms, joining a workspace, submitting a public form or redeeming no-charge access does not authorize a charge. A respondent or contact is not automatically a member or paid seat; public intake does not collect payments. An announced price or example is not an existing subscription.
Tarca is operated by Isbell Group, LLC. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service for the applicable trial, promotional access or paid order. An expressly agreed written order may specify different commercial terms, but it cannot remove rights that applicable law makes mandatory.
1. The offer before you pay
Before any recurring purchase, the checkout will identify the plan, currency, price, billing interval, covered access, seat quantity or quantity calculation, applicable taxes, any immediate or prorated charge, promotional terms, next charge and cancellation method. Monthly subscriptions are the intended initial offering. No annual commitment or annual price is implied unless you expressly select a separately disclosed annual offer.
You must affirmatively authorize the recurring purchase. Agreement to general Terms, a workspace invitation, an account verification email or a no-charge promotional code does not by itself authorize recurring payments. We will provide a retainable acknowledgment of the purchase and renewal terms. We will not charge existing pilot users simply because billing becomes available.
2. Who pays and who can authorize changes
The billing account identifies the individual or organization responsible for the subscription. A person purchasing or changing a subscription on another organization's behalf must have authority to do so. Billing access and workspace-content access are separate permissions.
The intended paid model charges for editing members covered by a subscription. A person is counted once within that billing account's covered workspaces, even if they edit in more than one of those workspaces. Separate organizations may each pay for that person's access to their own work. The actual checkout or order must confirm this model and the covered workspaces before purchase.
An unaccepted invitation is not a paid seat. An external update recipient responding through a request link is not a member or a paid seat. Viewer access, where offered without charge, does not allow editing by sharing someone else's login.
Adding an editor, accepting an invitation into a paid editing role, or changing a viewer to an editor may require a seat. If available paid capacity covers that person, it can be reused. If more capacity is needed, an authorized payer must have approved the disclosed additional charge or an explicit seat-addition policy; an ordinary member must not be able to create an undisclosed charge.
3. Recurring charges and seat adjustments
An authorized recurring subscription renews for the disclosed interval unless cancelled in time to stop the next renewal. We charge the authorized payment method for the disclosed subscription and applicable taxes. The checkout must state the renewal date or a clear way to determine it.
For a mid-period seat increase, any prorated charge must be disclosed before authorization. Removing a member ends that member's workspace access when the removal takes effect, but ordinarily does not refund a partly used paid seat for the current billing period. Unused paid seat capacity can be reassigned within that period subject to the plan rules. A confirmed seat decrease applies to the next renewal when the person is no longer covered by the subscription. We will show the upcoming seat quantity and total rather than silently maintaining unused seats as a different package.
No universal entitlement to unlimited tasks, storage, emails or manual services is created by a seat purchase. Material plan allowances and operational limits must be available before purchase, and additional metered charges require separate disclosure and authorization. We do not impose undisclosed overage charges.
4. Free trials, promotional codes and complimentary access
14-day trial: Eligible new customers may start one trial without a payment card. It begins after email verification, agreement acceptance and successful workspace setup. Launch extension: trials offered with this extension last until the later of 336 hours after successful setup or November 2, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. America/Chicago (06:00 UTC), providing access through November 1. A later-starting trial still receives its full 14 days. The actual end date is shown before starting and in the account; reminders follow that actual date. Refreshing a page, changing a timezone or plan preference, deleting work, or creating another workspace does not restart it. The trial covers the workspace and editing capacity confirmed during setup, subject to published storage and usage limits. Joining someone else's team does not itself buy a personal subscription or share your personal work.
Trial reminders: We schedule an account email and an in-app Inbox notice approximately three days and one day before the trial ends. These notices state the expiry and resulting access change; they do not authorize payment. They are service notices, separate from optional activity digests or marketing. Delivery can be delayed or fail, so the expiry shown in the account controls. We stop further trial reminders when the trial is replaced by valid paid or complimentary access.
Promotional and complimentary access: A valid promotional code or authorized complimentary invitation offered under this version provides no-charge access with no scheduled end date, within its stated workspace scope, editing capacity and usage limits. It remains active until an authorized platform administrator suspends or revokes that access, subject to the notice and security provisions below. A code or invitation may have a deadline and use limit for redemption; that deadline is not an expiry of access already validly redeemed. An invitation to open your own account is separate from joining another person's workspace. You create your own credentials, verify your email and accept the applicable terms. No administrator needs to provision your workspace after valid self-service setup. A code does not grant platform administrative privileges, expose another customer's content or override ordinary permissions. No-end-date access is not a prepaid or lifetime subscription. We may end it with reasonable advance notice, or immediately where reasonably needed for security, fraud, material misuse or law. Existing offers and grants keep the terms that were presented when they were issued or redeemed; this version does not shorten an existing promise.
When a trial under this version ends: If the affected billing account has no other valid entitlement, access to its covered workspace content stops, including viewing, editing, downloads and self-service exports. New uploads, public submissions and automated work also stop. You can still sign in for account recovery, view your access status, manage billing and any available subscription, and contact support. A different workspace with its own valid access is not locked merely because this trial ended. Expiry alone does not delete your work, create a paid subscription or authorize a charge. Retention follows the Privacy Notice. Contact support for account or content-retrieval assistance; legally required privacy access or deletion requests do not depend on payment.
Earlier trials: A trial issued under version 2026-10-11.1 retains that version's authorized viewing, download and available-export access after editing expires, subject to its security and retention limits. Later acceptance of updated terms does not convert that existing trial into a content lockout. Paid-subscription expiry and cancellation retain their separately disclosed rules.
Choosing a subscription: When paid checkout is available, you may skip the trial or subscribe before it ends. Checkout must disclose when the paid period starts and the amount due. Unused trial time does not automatically create a credit or delay an expressly selected immediate subscription. No paid annual plan, discount or renewal interval is created unless the separately disclosed offer is available and you select it.
A code may be restricted to a person, organization, campaign or redemption limit. It has no cash value and may not be sold, manipulated, duplicated or used through artificial accounts. We may refuse or withdraw access obtained by fraud or material misuse. We will honor valid, properly redeemed offers according to the terms presented at redemption, except where law requires otherwise.
No-charge access that did not include a separately authorized recurring purchase ends without an automatic charge. Continued paid access requires checkout consent. If a discount is applied to an expressly authorized paid subscription, the checkout will disclose both the discounted amount and later recurring price, and we will provide notices required by law. A change to the offer does not retroactively create consent to payment.
5. Individual use and team membership
Each person keeps one account and may have separate personal and team workspaces. Joining a paid team does not require a duplicate purchase merely to use that team. Creating a team does not automatically expose the founder's private work or create a second subscription without a disclosed purchase.
If an applicable team plan includes personal use, that coverage will be identified. Joining such a team does not silently cancel an existing subscription that may fund other workspaces. We will provide a reviewable way to stop an overlapping individual renewal where eligible. If a team later removes the person, the person's private content is not transferred to the employer and a personal charge is not restarted without authorization.
6. Cancellation
When paid checkout is enabled, Settings → Plan & billing must provide a clear online way for the authorized payer to cancel renewal. The flow must show the effective date and provide confirmation. You will not be required to telephone, negotiate with support, answer a survey or accept a retention offer to cancel an online purchase. An alternative contact route must be available if you cannot access the account.
Ordinarily, cancellation stops future renewal and paid access continues through the already-paid period. It does not automatically erase content or cancel another organization's subscription. Closing a browser tab, deleting an app, removing a member, or ceasing use is not a request to cancel the payer's subscription.
We will preserve access necessary to manage billing and make available retrieval options after paid editing ends, subject to reasonable security restrictions, retention policies and law. Current pilot exports are limited; this policy is not a promise that a complete self-service export is already implemented. The paid launch must provide the retrieval process disclosed with the offer.
7. Refunds and billing errors
Fees are generally nonrefundable. We do not offer a general money-back guarantee, and there is ordinarily no partial-month refund for unused time, unused seats, downgrades, account inactivity or cancellation after a billing period starts.
This rule does not apply to refunds required by law, confirmed duplicate or erroneous charges, or our ending a prepaid service for convenience before the paid period ends. In that last case, we will refund the unused prepaid portion of the affected service. Additional refunds or credits may be granted case by case without creating an ongoing guarantee.
Contact us promptly if a charge appears incorrect so we can investigate. Do not send full card or bank details. We do not impose a contractual deadline that removes a nonwaivable right to dispute a charge, and contacting us is not a condition of exercising a card-network or statutory remedy. Approved refunds normally return through the original payment method where possible; provider and bank processing times can vary.
8. Failed payments
If an authorized payment fails, we may notify the billing contact and retry through the processor under the disclosed collection process. The paid offer will state any grace period and the access changes that follow it. We do not promise an unspecified grace-period duration in this policy.
After required notice and the applicable grace period, paid editing may be suspended or made read-only until the account is brought current. A failed payment does not itself transfer content ownership or authorize a new payment method. Legitimately owed fees may remain due; automatic collection must remain within the customer's authorization and applicable law. A cancellation request must still be processed even when an invoice is overdue.
9. Taxes and price changes
Prices are stated in the currency shown at checkout. Applicable taxes will be identified and collected where required. Provide accurate billing location and valid exemption documentation if applicable. The tax treatment of software varies by jurisdiction; neither a business account nor a U.S.-only launch automatically makes a subscription tax-free.
We will give clear advance notice of changes to an existing recurring price and a way to cancel before the change, complying with the timing and consent requirements that apply to the customer. We will not retroactively raise a completed period's authorized price. A new price shown only on a public page is not a substitute for a required individual notice. Applicable renewals, expiring promotions and price changes will receive required reminders.
10. Records and contact
The payment processor will manage sensitive payment details through its checkout and customer-management tools. Tarca will retain the limited billing and consent records needed to administer authorized subscriptions, resolve disputes, meet tax/accounting obligations and demonstrate the order. Receipt and statement information must identify the business accurately.

For billing questions or help accessing cancellation, email support@tarca.app. See Legal & contact for additional contact details. There is no subscription to cancel in the unpaid pilot. A live paid offering will not open until the checkout, online cancellation, support, billing records and access controls described for that offer are functioning.
